Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal | Seattle | EdmondsWhether for hygienic or cosmetic reasons, women and men who are tired of temporary, often painful methods of removing unwanted hair on the face, back, legs or other body areas may welcome laser hair removal with relief.

Lasers produce highly focused, intense beams of light. Dark pigments in the hair follicles beneath the skin’s surface absorb this light and convert it to heat, destroying the follicles and preventing hair growth for up to two years.

Multiple treatments are required for complete hair removal. Treatments are needle-free and do not require anesthesia. Most patients feel nothing more than a slight sting like the snap of a rubber band.

It is possible that some hair will grow back, though it is usually finer and lighter than what was originally removed. There may also be some redness and swelling following the procedure.

Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Drainage is a form of massage that stimulates the lymphatic system with gentle massaging strokes. The light rhythmic massage allows the lymphatic system to eliminate metabolic waste products, excess fluid, and bacteria.

A Lymphatic Drainage provides many benefits to the nervous, immune and muscular systems of the body. These benefits include:

  • Clearing areas of congestion such as swollen ankles and puffy eyes
  • Promoting healing of scar tissue, torn ligaments, and sprains
  • Swelling relief following surgery
  • Treating lymphedema, swelling in the limbs caused by lymph accumulation
  • Improving chronic conditions such as sinusitis, arthritis, acne, and other skin conditions
  • Promoting deep relaxation

Microcurrent Treatment

Microcurrent Treatment | Seattle | EdmondsAs you age, your body loses much of its natural electrical energy, leading to a breakdown of collagen and elastin in your skin. This causes sagging, lines, and wrinkles. Beneath your skin, the facial muscles are affected by years of repeated facial expressions and gravity.

Microcurrent treatment is a non-surgical face tightening technique to fight these effects. It works by applying a painless electric current into the skin’s cells and tissues, as well as the facial muscles underneath. This tightens the skin and facial muscles, giving your face a more youthful appearance.

The microcurrent treatment works by emitting electrical frequencies that mimic your body’s own electrical signals. This speeds up cell metabolism and elimination of cellular waste and impurities. It also helps your skin rebuild its collagen and elastin, which restores your skin's firmness and flexibility. The benefits of microcurrent treatment include improved skin tone and coloration, reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, and firming of sagging areas of the face.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion improves mild to moderate sun damage, scarring, wrinkles and other superficial skin problems. A gentle stream of tiny particles exfoliates the outer layer of skin and provides a fresh, glowing, younger appearance. Only a small amount of skin is removed, so sensitive areas such as the face, chest, neck, arms and hands can be treated. Results are comparable to a light chemical peel and should be immediately visible. Microdermabrasion is often performed in conjunction with other skin renewal procedures, such as laser treatment and chemical peels. Multiple treatments are recommended for full effect.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is the standard treatment for varicose and spider veins. A special sclerosing solution is injected into the diseased vein, which then collapses and is gradually absorbed by the body. By the end of the treatment program, the veins are less visible on the skin surface. Sclerotherapy usually also relieves symptoms associated with enlarged veins and prevents further complications.
